Meet David Cowles...
His caricatures are one of the best, plus David and I seem to have many interests in common. He is a fan of my work and I am in awe of his work too. Great sense of humor and also, he is a Beatles fan :-) check this out..

Okay, this website is not very well designed and is a tiny bit complicated, BUT it is soooo rich with trillions of references and high res scans of so many wonderful illustrations from the days… Chris Mullen, the owner is amazingly knowledgable too. Don't thank me…that's what friends are for right? http://www.fulltable.com/vts/f/fortune/covers/covers.htm

It has been an absolute honour and privilege to have been able to work on a poster for a film from one of my favourite director: Paul Thomas Anderson with some of my favourite actors as well. I have been told PTA was very happy with it… which makes me equally happy and proud...

I can't wait to see this in person...Thank you Poster buddies and traders members for making this possible. I hope it's a first of a long series...

Thanks to my "buddies" in the closed Facebook group called "Posters, buddies and traders", I was given the opportunity to (re)work on an "ancient" image I had done many years ago. It only existed as a giclee, so I basically had to start from scratch on this one. It looks much better now as my technique has evolved over the last few years, see for yourself. Also, word of advice, Do not join this group if it's only to be able to snag one print, they are all sold out. I will however sell my own Artist proofs, won't get many, probably about 20. Will let everyone know when they will be up for sale on retropolis. Cheers, Laurent

Here are a few cool vintage looking cardboard displays my friend Walter in Tokyo, Japan has designed using my illustrations based on his original robot designs and models. For more info about his robots click here

If you are not familiar with his work, which would be normal since his beautiful covers date back from the 1930's and 40's, check his work out!!! His work and style might look familiar to you... I admit it, Antonio Petruccelli has had a tremendous influence on my work. I did a tribute piece for him 8 years ago which you can see on my tribute section (Raymond Loewy's New Yorker piece).

I'm about to finish my latest piece entitled "US TO EUROPE BY AIR" which will be produced exclusively for a cool Facebook group called "Poster traders and buddies". They have commissioned me this piece after seeing it on my Flickr page. I basically had to rebuild it from scratch as the original was a giclee and its resolution was not sufficient. I'm so excited about it. I hope it'll turn out nice. Lastleaf screenprinting is doing the job. Good luck to them :-)
